Sep 2016: book review

It’s been a busy month! Recess week is just over. Unfortunately, I only managed to complete 1 book this month: Good to Great, by Jim Collins.

This book is not in my usual genre, but I’m glad I read it. Funnily enough, I first came to know of it while reading an article in Desiring God – the author made a passing comment about it, which spurred my interest to find out more. So I downloaded it through Overdrive, and it was written so engagingly that I finished it within 2 weeks.

The main purpose of this book is to identify key traits that bring companies from being merely good to GREAT. And actually, I think the author is right when he says that these principles are not just applicable for businesses, but even in your own organizations and daily life. So this makes for a pretty good read about living purposefully and excelling in life haha.
