Dec 2016: book reviews

How time flies! We’ve now come to the end of the 2016. I’m slightly annoyed at the pile of books I have still uncompleted, because I’m reading all of them concurrently (and slowly). They’re good, but sometimes it’s so hard to find the motivation to finish!

Anyway, here are the books I completed this month:

  1. The little book of skincare, by Charlotte Cho
  2. Living in the Light, John Piper
  3. The critical first years of your professional life, Robert Dilenschneider

First off, don’t judge, alright? Haha. I know this isn’t the kind of book I usually read, but it appeared at the top of my Overdrive app, and my mom just gifted me with a whole makeup kit as a birthday gift, telling me to please wear more makeup and get ready for working life LOL. So yes, my usual routine used to be just slapping on sunblock and maybe doing my eyebrows before heading out, and cleansing my face daily. But thanks to Mom’s gift and (incessant) encouragement, I started binge-watching makeup tutorials & reviews, and realized that hey skincare is actually pretty important (in fact I would say more important than make up)!

Hence this book.
